Social Issues Theatre
Spring 2008 Performances
INNER VOICES Social Issues Theatre presents
Scenes addressing sexual assault, survival, support and speaking out These scenes weave together the voices of survivors of sexual assault, breaking the silence that often covers sexual violence in our society. The evening offers insight into the complex issues of resolution and moving on for survivors of sexual assault and challenges us to consider our own roles in a society in which sexual violence occurs.

Do we hand out a license
each time we refuse to
speak out against
hate crimes?
OPEN SEASON is a powerful and provocative theatre piece that looks at the deeply rooted foundations of hate crimes in contemporary society, specifically those hate crimes targeting the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community. Through their stories, a gathering of friends reveal gay bashing incidents in their own lives as their pasts clash unceasingly with the immediate present. Do we hand out a license each time we refuse to speak out against hate crimes?
